What's for dinner?

We're going to visit Great Grandpa and Grandma Snow just before Eli's birthday and Grandma sweetly offered to make Eli's favorite for dinner. Which brought me to having a very interesting conversation with an almost 3 year old about what he likes to eat....

Me: Great Grandma wants to make you something special for dinner when we visit. Can you think of something you would like to eat?
Eli: Ummm, tandy! (candy)
M: No not candy, silly! Something for dinner.
E: Booberries! (blueberries)
M: I was thinking more like dinner food. What kind of food do you like to eat?
E: Tookies! (cookies)
M: Let's try this again. Would you like something like lasagna, or pizza or hamburgers (all his favorites).
E: Yeah!
M: Ok, which one do you like the best?
E: Yiddle amburger (little hamburger) and fench fies with YOTS of dip-dip (translate-little hamburgers with french fries and lots of ketchup!)

Icky, Icky Ear Infections!

The poor boys are working on 3 ear infections in less than one month! Eli had one in his right ear at the beginning of August, then a double ear infection towards the end of the month. I just took Emmett in to the Dr's yesterday and he has an infection in his right ear too! Thankfully both respond right away to antibiotics and ibuprofen, BUT I am wondering what mom-wisdom is out there about ear infections, since they seem to be our lot this year! I've tried giving them Belladonna and Pulsatilla (homeopathic rememdies) at the onset of colds, but it doesn't seem to prevent the ear infections. It also seems like their ear infections always follow a cold. Any great rememedies/insight about tubes and/or ear infections in general? I'd love to hear it! :-)

Picture Time!

We took a little trip to JCP Portrait studio for Eli's 3 year and Emmett's 4 month pictures. We also were able to get a couple family photos, but I haven't had a chance to upload them yet. I'll try to add a few more soon!
