Icky, Icky Ear Infections!
The poor boys are working on 3 ear infections in less than one month! Eli had one in his right ear at the beginning of August, then a double ear infection towards the end of the month. I just took Emmett in to the Dr's yesterday and he has an infection in his right ear too! Thankfully both respond right away to antibiotics and ibuprofen, BUT I am wondering what mom-wisdom is out there about ear infections, since they seem to be our lot this year! I've tried giving them Belladonna and Pulsatilla (homeopathic rememdies) at the onset of colds, but it doesn't seem to prevent the ear infections. It also seems like their ear infections always follow a cold. Any great rememedies/insight about tubes and/or ear infections in general? I'd love to hear it! :-)

Cohen had HORRIBLE ear infections. 16 his first year of life! It was very difficult for both of us! I tried everything natural but finally (way too late) they had a hearing test done on him at 15 months and he was hearing almost nothing-didn't even turn his head toward the sound. 5 days later he had tubes...best things ever! He didn't have another ear infection until he was 4 and very few since then. My advice is to see the same doctor every time and don't wait too long to have tubes put in if he's (Emmett) had a lot of infections. Basically the same for Eli if he is getting them every time he has a virus too! Good luck...thinking of you!
