Eli's New Shirt

I'm way, way behind on posting! However, I wanted to be sure everyone got to see Eli's adorable new shirt! It's a bit big yet, but should fit perfectly by April 12!

Heather's Birthday Surprise

My older sister, Heather, turned 30 last month. We wanted to do something extra special, so my little sister, Sara, and I put our heads together to come up with a little surprise. My mom helped us pull the whole thing off. We showed up at her doorstep at 7 am and sang her Happy Birthday with a candlelit muffin. Then we rushed her into the shower and out the door to begin the Scavenger hunt that Sara had planned. Each clue in the hunt lead her to something relaxing/special/that mom's never get to do. She started at Starbucks, from there did a little shopping, then off to lunch with a friend, next a manicure/pedicure, a little more shopping and finally a dinner date with her husband.

Meanwhile, we were back at her house having a blast transforming her bedroom. I'd been plotting, scheming, and otherwise planning the bedroom makeover for about a month, so it gave me a chance to have all of the sewing and painting (aside from the walls, of course) done in advance. From 7:30am to 9:30pm we emptied, painted, reorganized, re-furnished and re-decorated her room. I just found out that "Trading Spaces" takes 2 whole days to do what we did-ha-take that! It was an absolute blast. Andy, Heather's husband, had a bunch of her friends come over at 9:30 and they hid in her room to surprise her too. Needless to say, she was surprised! It was such a fun day. Heather is the sweetest, most giving person so it was especially fun to do something special for her!

Arizona!

This and That

Not sure what the gig with blogspot is right now, so these pictures are a bit out of order....

Playing the piano at Youngren's with a little accompaniement from Lambie.
Enjoying our kiddie pool. (Clothes are highly over-rated!)

Eli recently rediscovered these boots and proudly puts them on so he can go "side" (outside). We're still working on that whole left foot, right foot thing...

Our bouncer just came back from a visit to Lilly, so it's been hanging out in the kitchen for a few days. Funny how the baby toys never lose their appeal! Check out how Eli put his baby in it and gave it his Lambie.
Kicking back after a recent trip to the library.
Playing meeting with Trevon. (Definitely took this picture before Eli's most recent haircut!)
Stand back!

Coming Soon....

Pictures of our trip to Scottsdale, Heather's birthday surprise, trips to Desert Aire, and our camping trip over the 4th....just not tonight!

24 Hours of Fun

As I looked through my pictures, I realized all of these were taken within 24 hours of each other...from Sunday evening to Monday evening.....I love summer!!

While folding laundry Sunday afternoon, I looked out the window to see that Shane had discovered an interesting way to keep Eli entertained.

Then after he gave Eli his bath and got him to bed (while I was still folding laundry!) , he surpised with me our first fire in our new fire pit AND dinner....isn't he the best? Then on Monday, the boys got off work early. Ryan and Mandy needed to stop by our neighbors to look at their puppies, so why not just have a BBQ?
Michael, Eli and I hung out while Ryan, Mandy and the girls checked out the puppies. Eli was so sweet with Michael! He kept rubbing his face, giving him kisses and telling him, "boo!"

Nothing beats roast hot-dogs! (Especially with lots of ketchup, if you're Eli!)

A little after dinner entertainment...

And then SURPRISE! Youngren's had asked us a while ago if we would be interested in their swing set, since their kids have outgrown it. (Lucky us!) Joey, Maddy and Wayne (lovingly referred to as Big Funny Wayne by Trevon) arrived with the swing set on their flat bed trailer. They had it set up in a matter of minutes! I only wish I could have caught the look in Eli's eyes when he first saw a slide in his yard..priceless!

First trip down the slide!
Trying out our new swing!

If I hadn't forgot our camera, I would have also had pictures of our Sunday afternoon hike at the beach!
