Mommy tried to clean out the garden yesterday. Here's what I did to keep busy...
1. Find old cherry tomato. Squish. Try to taste, but Mommy says, "No, no."
2. Follow Bailey to her water dish.
3. Play in water dish. Make Mommy run over and pick up water dish.
4. Pick up rock. Sample rock. Make Mommy run over and say, "Yucky Eli! No, no."
5. Crawl in dirt. Try to eat dirt. Ditto on Mommy's response.
6. Meet a new friend named Mr. Worm. Hold Mr. Worm. Decide Mr. Worm is so much fun, make 2 Mr. Worms. Try to eat Mr. Worm. Cause Mommy to rush over and say, "Ahh! Eli, yucky!"
7. Try to push the wheelbarrow.
8. Try to catch a bug.
9. Try to eat a mushroom. Make Mommy really say "NO, NO!"
10. Take a bath.
11. Take a nap.
*Mommy finishes cleaning out the garden.

Professional Photos

Pumpkin Pickin'
On Saturday we visited the to the pumpkin patch at The Plant Farm with Auntie Jeanne and Barb. The Marysville Rotary sponsors the patch and really does a fantastic job of organzing it. There were 2 Air Bouncers, a petting zoo, a train, hay rides, tractors, and of course, pumpkins! Funny thing is, almost every picture I took was of Eli with a pumpkin...go figure!

This adorable little boy came up and kept trying to give Eli a pumpkin. Talk about cute!

Bath Time...FINALLY!
Eli is moving up in the bath department. First it was the infant tub, next the kitchen sink and then the bottom of the shower. On Friday he finally got to take a bath in a real bath tub! As you can see from the pictures, he thoroughly enjoys the big tub and being able to actually float toys! However, he's not the only who's enjoying the tub...I feel like I have my own personal spa! (I can actually fit head-to-toe stretched out in this tub-it's awesome!)
Unfortunately, the bathroom still isn't quite finished (As you might have noticed in the pictures). We still have to install the shower door, finish the hardwood floors and trim out the entire room...oh well, at least we can soak our cares away!

Eli's Birthday Bash
Last Saturday, we had Eli's first birthday party at our house. I guess I got a little carried away with it being his first birthday! Luckily the weather was beautiful because I'm not sure how we could have fit 50 people indoors.
Just a few of the many presents Eli recieved. There certainly won't be a shortage of cool toys or cute clothes in our house. You'll also notice a big white box on the table. We put together a time capsule for Eli to open on his 18th birthday. We asked everyone to bring something they thought would represent the year as well as a note with some advice for Eli when he is 18. Eli's time capsule is now filled with items, some of which are hilarious (a twinkie with a request to see if they really have a long shelf life) and touching (advice from dear family and friends) memories.
We had lots of help opening presents.
5 boxes of cake mix, 4 bags of powdered sugar, 2 pounds of butter, and every night for a week....that's what it took me to make Eli's first birthday cake! Next time we might just go with Costco! (The cupcakes were for all of the kids that came. You can't see it, but each one has their name on it).

Digging in to his cake! He did exactly what every one year old is supposed to do-he spread icing everywhere his little hands could reach.
